Pori sports centre
The Pori sports centre is situated right next to the city centre, approximately one kilometre from the Market Square.
The sports centre is a functional entity for sports events and other public events.
The area and its immediate vicinity is home to the following sports venues: Karhuhalli, stadium, two ice rinks, open-air swimming pool, tennis hall, artificial skating rink, pesäpallo (Finnish baseball) stadium, heated turf, four large ball fields, 320-hectare outdoor area with jogging trails and orienteering courses, shooting range, archery range, riding stable and a few smaller areas for ball games. All of this in a single centre.
In addition to sporting venues, the area has parking for 1,760 cars.
In the immediate vicinity of the sports centre is Pori Forest, an area of approximately 300 hectares for outdoor activities and recreation. The sports centre and Pori Forest are part of the Pori National Urban Park established in 2002.
