Winter Holiday in Pori
Outdoor activities in the unique Yyteri, adventures in numerous museums, and fascinating events guarantee an unforgettable winter holiday.

Winter Holiday in Yyteri
This year, Yyteri offers an unforgettable, activity-packed winter holiday for the whole family! The stunning natural landscapes provide the perfect setting for relaxation and adventure. The City of Pori and local businesses have put together a diverse program for the winter holiday season, running from February 15 to March 2, full of fun and experiences for all ages.
Feel the thrill of sledding at Keisarinpankki hill, ski along the beach and through the forests, or explore the hiking trails. You can easily prepare your picnic at the designated campfire sites. End the day with a seaside dinner or by unwinding in the spa’s bubbling pools.
Check out the program here and come enjoy the delights of winter by the sea!
Indoor and Outdoor Activities
For those who love active holidays, Pori offers diverse opportunities for winter sports. And if the snow doesn’t cooperate, no worries! Take a dip in the swimming halls or plunge into the open-air swimming pool.
What’s a winter holiday without skiing? Ski trails can be found near the city center and along the seaside in Yyteri. You can check the latest trail conditions here.
Kirjurinluoto, Pori’s central park, is a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts and families. Best of all, it’s just steps away from the city center. The giant Pelle Hermanni playground is open even in winter. Weather permitting, you can ski in Kirjurinluoto, and the park has a campfire site for a cozy lunch break during your outdoor adventure.
The spa-like Pori central swimming hall offers more than just traditional pools, including a diving pool, cold pool, jacuzzi, and water slide. The Meri-Pori swimming hall also welcomes holiday-goers.
At the Pori open-air swimming pool, you can enjoy cold-water swimming on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3 PM to 8 PM. Fridays also feature a quiet sauna session from 5 PM to 8 PM.
For thrill-seekers, we recommend RUOSNIEMI SKI ski center! The slopes are perfect for the whole family, with additional sledding hills and ski trails available.

Activities in Museums
Starting from 2025, all visitors under 18 and students can enjoy free entry to Pori’s museums! The museums offer plenty of activities for children, too. At the Satakunta Museum, you can take part in the Auta Vienoa adventure game. At the Pori Art Museum, you can grab a small activity booklet for your exhibition tour and stop by the Do It Yourself! workspace. At the Ark Nature Centre, you can play nature-themed board games and puzzles. Inspired by The Designers of Pori exhibition at the Rosenlew Museum, young visitors can unleash their creativity with coloring.
