The open-air swimming pool’s summer season begins
Pori's outdoor swimming pool, an essential part of Pori's summer, will open its summer season on 3 June. The Central Swimming Hall closed for the summer break yesterday, 30 May, and will reopen at the end of August.
This summer, the open-air swimming pool’s summer season continues until Sunday 25 August. As in previous years, the pool will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays:
- Friday 21 June (Midsummer Eve) from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Saturday 22 June (Midsummer Day) closed
- Sunday 23 June open as usual from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Swimming time always ends half an hour before closing time.
During the summer, there will be guided exercise sessions at the swimming pool. Monday to Friday, water exercises are included in the entrance fee and do not require separate registration.
The Maikkala Splash aquatic exercise event, which proved popular last summer, will take place on 18 June. For the second time, the event will feature Vesikauhu swim jumping group familiar from social media.
Children and young people will also be attracted by the diving sessions on Saturdays from 14-16. The ropes of the large pool will be pulled aside and the 7.5 metre diving platform will be opened up for the jumpers.
On 26 June, the swimming pools will also participate in the Pay What You Want Day, where you can swim with a small coin or any other amount you see fit.
