Dig out your sled and head to Yyteri to enjoy the joys of winter! The Keisarinpankki sledding hill offers thrilling speeds. The sledding hill is about a 100-meter walk from the Yyteri Visitor Centre.
NOTE! The Keisarinpankki sledding hill will be snowed from Thursday, February 13th, to Sunday, February 16th. The hill will be open for sledding starting Sunday afternoon. During the snowmaking process, sledding is not allowed.

The valuable and delicate lyme grass helps protect our fragile dunes. That’s why a dedicated sledding hill has been designated, and sledding on other dunes is not allowed. The Keisarinpankki hill is also snowed when weather conditions permit.

The snow-covered sledding hill is maintained by the City of Pori. However, sledding in Yyteri is at your own risk.
Why do we protect the dunes and lyme grass?
The Yyteri dunes are a rare and valuable natural site, with most of the beach designated as a nature reserve. Only lyme grass can naturally bind the sand, and Yyteri’s beautiful dunes have formed and grown around lyme grass vegetation. That’s why walking on the dunes and trampling the lyme grass should be avoided.
Some dunes have suffered damage, which is why they have been fenced off for protection. Lyme grass has been planted, and wind fences have been set up to reduce sand movement. Entering the fenced areas threatens the success of these conservation efforts. Let’s enjoy Yyteri responsibly together.
By taking care of this valuable dune area, we ensure it remains for future generations — thank you for being part of the effort!
